Trammplatz, Hanover
The Trammplatz in front of the Hanover city hall will be reshaped into a representative place. The historical frame will be preserved, such as the driveway, the balustrades, candelabras, steps as well as the protected trees and the fountain.
The forecourt, with the more than 100 year-old trees, will be slightly elevated and receives a surface with a floral plaster ornament which derives from the cloverleaf of the emblem of the City of Hanover. Also the geometry of the tree borderings as seat elements derives from the guiding theme of the cloverleaf. The contemporary interpretation stresses the traditional connection of the capital of Hanover as a „town of the gardens“ with the cultural landscape.
