Reception Hall - The Small Palace

The Reception Hall is part of the Oriental Garden and shows the classical integration of this type of garden within a building complex.  The cube-shaped building with a flat roof, glass dome, and traditional wooden doors is connected to the garden via a colonnade. The building’s interior combines Moroccan handicrafts with modern facilities for events: the arcades, ceiling and lining of the dome with elaborately carved cedar wood and zillij (ceramic tiles) are combined with contemporary materials on the walls and floor, as well as with equipment and media for presentations, lectures, receptions, and celebrations. All of this has turned the space into a ‘reception hall’ in the sense of the intercultural concept of the Marzahn Recreational Park.
