World of Harbours, Desert stream, Hamburg

In the hustle at the Suez harbour unusual, exotic goods from far away are reloaded. A fascinating world of different exotic goods in different forms and colours and with irresistible smells is revealed to the visitor. Our intention was to create an extraordinary and exotic atmosphere in the world of the harbours „the desert stream“, within the 80 gardens of the IGS. The goods and the plant sheets of the spices (cardamom, coriander, lemon grass, tarragon, etc.), are exposed oversized in barrels and jugs in the harbour on wooden decks. The canal is covered with blue grit, date palms along the canal are planted in the sandy surface, in the background a dune scenery is visible.
